In the configuration (Menu "Edit" -> Configuration) you can find the settings for your telephony module.

Choose the phone line you are using in the drop down menu. You should see all available TAPI drivers that are installed on your system. Enter your phone number without your area code, that should react on phone calls coming in. Please note, that every user has to enter their phone number in the configuration.

You can decide what happens, when a new phone call comes in or you phone out of the Xpert-Timer system.

Show dialog

Using this option a dialog will open with following options:
 
Incoming calls:

Start quickstart project: You can easily start a quickstart project to immediately tracking the time on a project. After finishing the phone call you can transfer the timestamp to another client and project or you just rename the project and leave it as it is.

Add new contact: Use this function to add a new contact to an existing client.

Add new client, contact and telephony project: This way you can create a new client, a contact and automatically a new telephony project the time is tracked on.

On outgoing calls:

Start quickstart project: You can easily start a quickstart project to immediately tracking the time on a project. After finishing the phone call you can transfer the timestamp to another client and project or you just rename the project and leave it as it is.

Start client project: Start the project you've set in the client settings.

Open client: This will open the details of the client in a separate window

Select client in client manager: This will open the client manager and preselect the client.

Add client note: Create a note for the conversation. It will be saved in the client "Notes" in your client info.

Start quickstart project

With this option you will start a quick start project. After finishing the phone call you can transfer the timestamp to another client and project or you just rename the project and leave it as it is.

Start client project

If an existing client calls and the number is saved in your client manager and you've selected a telephony project for this client the project will automatically start running.

Open client

The dialog "Client data" will open.

Select client in client manager

The dialog "Client manager" will open.

Add client note

The dialog "Client note" will open. You can then decide if you want to enter any information about the phonecall.

Action when phone number was not found

No action. You have to manually start a project in Xpert-Timer or create a client.

Create new contact

You can select an existing client and create a new contact for it.

If a new client calls, you can add the new client, contact and telephony project automatically.
